About Me

I’m Sam C., a doctoral trainee in clinical psychology at Pacific University. I work with adults across the lifespan and am especially interested in supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, as well as people navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and life transitions. I was drawn to this work because I value creating spaces where people can feel understood, explore who they are, and move toward lives that feel more authentic and meaningful.

Therapeutic Approach

My style is warm, collaborative, and curious. I strive to provide LGBTQIA+-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed care that considers each client’s identities, relationships, and broader social context. I draw from psychodynamic, relational, humanistic, and feminist approaches, while also incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mind-body strategies. Together, we may explore how past experiences, relationships, social systems, and current patterns shape what you are going through. I aim to help clients develop greater self-understanding, build practical ways of coping, and reconnect with their values, strengths, and sense of self.

Credentials & Experience

I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I am currently completing my Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University. My clinical training has included community mental health, college counseling, psychological assessment for autism and ADHD, and the provision of gender-affirming care letters.

Outside the Office

I enjoy photography, dog-sitting, and exploring the coast and forests of the Pacific Northwest. Music is also a big part of my life. I sing and play the drums, and I love going to concerts.
