Behavioral Medicine & Wellness Service Areas
Health & Behavior Change
This service area supports individuals in managing chronic health conditions and building sustainable health habits. Care focuses on adjusting to illness, improving adherence to medical treatments, and creating meaningful lifestyle changes. Services may include stress management, physical activity support, mindful eating, and behavior change strategies to promote overall health and well-being.
Sleep Health
Sleep services provide evidence-based support for individuals experiencing insomnia or other sleep concerns. Treatment may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), sleep hygiene education, and behavioral strategies to improve sleep quality. Care may also include support with medical sleep treatments, such as CPAP or other devices, in collaboration with sleep medicine providers.
Medical & Surgical Support
This service area provides psychological support for individuals preparing for or recovering from medical procedures, as well as those navigating complex health conditions. Services may include pre-surgical evaluations, post-procedure adjustment support, and guidance in coping with the emotional and behavioral aspects of medical care and recovery.
Body-Inclusive Health & Nutrition
This service area supports a compassionate, body-inclusive approach to health and nutrition. Care may include mindful eating, emotional eating support, and body image work, as well as behavioral strategies aligned with a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework. For patients pursuing medical interventions, services may also include psychological assessment and support across all phases of care.
