About Me

Hello, I’m Isabel, a QMHP currently working as a student therapist. I engage in public service through my volunteer position which is focused on community mental health and wellness.

Therapeutic Approach

I am currently interested in working with folks on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, those experiencing confounding mental health issues related to any physical illness or condition, and anyone who is looking to gain coping skills in an effort to improve their quality of life. My approach to therapy is rooted in CBT and DBT; however, I find it extremely important to draw on other techniques, such as humanistic, and trauma-informed.

I prioritize client needs with my therapeutic approach by adapting and flexing to current symptoms and stressors. My focus is on creating a collaborative, warm, and inviting space where my clients feel supported and safe. I am dedicated to empowering those I work with to examine their role, practice their skills, and to foster meaningful change in their lives.

Credentials & Experience

I have had 2 years of prior experience in mental health, working as an intake specialist and behavioral assistant for a psychiatrist in two separate integrated health clinics. I have undergone additional training, including QPR and ASSIST for crisis intervention, as well as courses in various modalities and therapeutic techniques. After my experience as a psychiatric assistant, I decided to pursue higher education in psychology to grow and develop my skills so that I can better serve my greater community. I am in Pacific University’s graduate program to obtain my PsyD in applied clinical psychology with an emphasis on health. I expect to receive my master’s degree this August (8/26).

Outside the Office

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hanging out with loved ones, reading, and creating art.

I am supervised by Laurel Fuson-Lang, PsyD
