Masters Student Intern

About Me

I’m Liz, a Professional Counselor Intern. My specialty is helping people navigating challenging life transitions (birth, marriage, divorce, empty nest) and I enjoy working with people of all ages. I aim to be anti-racist and LGBTQI-affirming and supportive.

Therapeutic Approach

I see therapy as a team effort between my clients and myself. My background in family medicine grounds my understanding of the human experience and informs my person- centered and developmental therapeutic approach. I strive to help you understand your challenges and to help you find the best solution for you. I have training in Motivational Interviewing and cognitive therapy. When I can help you understand how your body and mind work together, you can learn to manage your reactions in more satisfying ways.

Credentials & Experience

I have a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from National University of Natural Medicine (1996) and will have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Eastern Oregon University in 2027.

Outside the Office

When I am not working, I like to knit and weave and read. I love walking with my dog, swimming, doing Pilates, and getting outside almost as much as I love sitting on the couch with a book and my knitting.

I am supervised by Jenn Wimmer, LCSW
