About Me

I’m Lexi, a Professional Counselor Associate with experience working with OCD, anxiety disorders, depression, and grief. My passion for mental health has been lifelong, shaped by an awareness of the meaningful difference support can make in people’s lives. The increasing uncertainty and rapid changes of recent years, along with my own experiences of grief, deepened my desire to support others as they navigate life’s challenges. Holistic, client-centered care is at the heart of everything I do.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for clients experiencing OCD and anxiety disorders. I also draw from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to create a space where clients can authentically explore the experiences that bring them to therapy, develop new ways of approaching challenges, and feel empowered to make choices that align with their values and support meaningful change.

Credentials & Experience

I hold a master’s degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA. My clinical experience includes specialized training in OCD and anxiety disorders at NW Anxiety Institute in Portland, where I provided individual outpatient therapy and facilitated group therapy as part of the Intensive Outpatient Program. I also have experience facilitating adult peer support groups at The Dougy Center, a nonprofit providing grief support to children and families.

Outside the Office

When I’m not in the office, you can often find me in the garden, where I come up with a new challenge each year! I love spending time with family and friends, taking trips to the coast, discovering new music and going to concerts, and, admittedly, enjoying a spooky movie every now and then.
