Therapeutic Approach

I believe the psychosomatic experience reflects the cosmos. That by looking up and out we can find a mirror for self-reflection, contemplation and deeper attunement. A student of Octavia Butler, Marge Piercy, and adrienne maree brown, I look for the fractal ways in which we can learn about ourselves from the natural world – and dream further.

My intention is to collaboratively create space that affords those I work with entry to home; inside themselves, within relationship, and entwined into community. Using a psychodynamic approach, my work revolves around creating trusted companionship to explore one’s inner worlds and offering solace at particularly shadowed depths. Striving to practice an embodied abolitionist stance, I humbly reckon with the ways in which systemic oppression impacts my and my client’s daily lives and how those intersect. I believe in the butterfly effect, that by remaining dedicated to one’s self-compassion, and steady self-change, each of us can become the stewards of the future world we need.

Credentials & Experience

I completed my Master’s of Social Work degree at Smith School for Social Work, with a specialization in clinical psychodynamic therapy. My training highlighted gender-affirming, antiracist counseling, sex therapy, and the axis between art and play therapeutic modalities. In practice, I have worked with high acuity children, gender creative adolescents, nonmonogamous adults and those working in the sex trades.

Outside the Office

Outside of work, I enjoy sharing the controller while playing video games, going to local theater (any and all), and taking long walks, preferably while talking to a loved one.

I am supervised by Sarai Engel, LCSW, ATR-BC
