About Me

Hello! I’m Heather Webster, a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background as a Certified Nurse Midwife and Labor & Delivery nurse. I’ve worked in healthcare for more than 20 years across hospital settings, independent clinics, and telehealth.

I grew up outside of Boston in a blue-collar family, where I saw people I loved struggle with their mental health while stigma, class, and distrust of systems made it harder to seek help. Too often, the care available didn’t feel like it was made for people like them. That experience shaped my belief that care starts by meeting people where they are.

At heart, I’m still a punk kid who happened to gather some knowledge and degrees along the way. I believe good mental health care should feel like real people working together—not like someone sitting across from you with all the answers. My job is to bring my clinical knowledge to the table while respecting that you are the expert on your own life.

Approach to Care

My approach is authentic, relational, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. We’re on the same team.

I want to understand what’s concerning you, what matters to you, and what you hope will be different. My role is to listen, help make sense of what may be happening, offer education and evidence-based options, and work with you to decide on next steps that fit your life.

Treatment plans are dynamic. Sometimes the path forward is clear; other times we find ourselves navigating unexpected terrain. Either way, we navigate it together. Along with medication management, I may recommend books, resources, creative practices, lifestyle modifications, or practical strategies to help deepen your understanding of yourself and what you’re experiencing.

Our first visit is intentionally thorough. We’ll spend time talking about your current symptoms and concerns, your history, what has and hasn’t helped before, and your goals for treatment. I want you to leave with a clearer understanding of what may be going on and a plan that makes sense to you.

Credentials & Experience

I earned my Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University and my graduate degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Oregon Health & Science University.

My background in reproductive healthcare continues to shape the way I practice psychiatry, particularly my interest in the intersections between mental health, physical health, hormones, reproductive transitions, identity, and the many changes that happen across a lifetime.

Outside the Office

Outside of clinical work, I volunteer at a community art studio and teach art classes that explore creativity, reflection, and emotional well-being. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching soccer, taking nature walks, making art, and listening to music.
