About Me
I’m Erin Dorothea Beattie, the Executive Assistant to the CEO at Portland Mental Health and Wellness. I bring a background in journalism, creative operations, and executive support, with several years of experience working closely with clinicians, physicians, and care-oriented leaders in both administrative and strategic capacities.
My work is motivated by a deep respect for systems of care and the people who sustain them. I’m especially interested in how thoughtful structure, clear communication, and responsive support can help organizations function sustainably while allowing clinicians and leaders to focus on what matters most: providing high-quality, ethical care.
Professional Approach
My approach to executive support has been grounded in values that closely align with mental health work — presence, clarity, trust, and reliability. I aim to create an organized, steady operational environment that supports leadership, protects capacity, and allows teams to work with greater ease and focus.
My style is proactive and relational, balancing attention to detail with a big-picture understanding of how people, systems, and communication intersect within a care-based organization.
Credentials and Experience
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications. My professional background spans executive assistance, creative operations, systems documentation, and confidential administrative support.
Over the past several years, I’ve supported mental health professionals and adjacent practitioners through calendar and inbox management, internal systems design, SOP creation, project coordination, and day-to-day operational support — often serving as a connective bridge between leadership, technology, and team workflows.
Outside of Work
Outside of work, I’m drawn to experiences that support curiosity, connection, and overall well being. I love film and music (especially going to concerts), long-distance running and hiking, movement practices like hot yoga, spending time with animals, and gathering with friends for long conversations and beautifully collaborative meals. Creative practices like writing — including essays, poetry, and songwriting — are an important part of how I reflect and make sense of the world.
