About Me
I’m Amanda Pasch, a Professional Counselor Associate with two years of experience in counseling and over fifteen years of experience in healthcare. My passion for mental health began in 2008 while working as a researcher for Oregon State Hospital. I specialize in working with adults experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues. I believe in helping clients use their strengths to accomplish their mental health goals. In collaboration with clients, I use a flexible and integrative approach that is tailored to meet each person’s unique needs.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, but I draw from other techniques such as strengths-based, postmodern, and cognitive approaches. I aim to create a warm and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their challenges and developing new skills and strategies to reach their goals. I am dedicated to helping clients build self-esteem and feelings of empowerment that will help them navigate difficult times.
Credentials & Experience
I hold a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Oregon University and a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have additional training in Cognitive Process Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Before training as a counselor, I worked in healthcare research roles. I regularly use this experience to identify evidenced-based therapies that are most beneficial to clients.
Outside the Office
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy walking, running, camping, and video games. I love spending time with my husband and beautiful orange cat. I’m passionate about helping others feel heard and understood.
I am supervised by Shayna Crespo, LPC, CADC II
