Kin Shapira Sade, MA
Professional Counselor Associate
Pronouns: She/Her
Hi, I’m Kin. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2016 from Bar-Ilan University, Israel. Since, I’ve been developing my clinical-therapeutic understanding and skills in diverse settings and populations. In 2023 I immigrated to Oregon, where I’m now registered as a Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Dr. Lisa Aasheim.
I am grounded in psychodynamic-relational & attachment theories, emphasizing the importance of authenticity, mutuality and collaborative processes in therapy. I’m also trauma-informed and cultural-sensitive, acknowledging systems of oppression and the inter-generational intersections of gender, sexual identity, race, ethnicity and socio-economic factors impacting one’s mental health and living experience.
I work with individual ages 15+ who are coping with life transitions, identity issues, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and other mental health challenges. I often integrate evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, EFT and IFS to address needs and struggles of each unique individual’s journey towards growth.
