Chera Justice integrates a trauma-informed, mind-body approach to therapy, incorporating principles from Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and somatic practices to support emotional regulation and nervous system resilience. She utilizes a psychodynamic and humanistic lens, exploring the interplay between early experiences, relational patterns, and personal meaning-making to foster insight and growth. Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs while drawing from cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and neuropsychological frameworks. Chera has experience working in university counseling centers, private practice, correctional settings, and community mental health. She also has a background in public health, which informs her holistic perspective on mental well-being, social determinants of health, and systemic barriers to care. She is currently completing her doctoral training in clinical psychology, with a focus on neuroplastic pain management, trauma, and mind-body interventions.
