About Me
I’m Haven Cutler, a Student Clinician and Qualified Mental Health Professional with a year of experience in intensive outpatient therapy and crisis consultation. My passion for this work comes from a place of personal experience – as a queer individual from a rural area, I am dedicated to providing affirming support to the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I believe in empowering clients through autonomy and building a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in a Person-Centered theoretical orientation, but I draw from other modalities such as feminist and relational psychology. I aim to create a warm and supportive environment where clients feel affirmed in their identity and empowered to explore their holistic well-being, encompassing mental, emotional, and social elements. I’m dedicated to providing gender-affirming care and tailoring my approach to meet the individual needs and experiences of each client.
Credentials and Experience
I am a Qualified Mental Health Professional and hold a Master of Arts in Psychology from the Graduate School of Clinical Psychology at George Fox University. My professional experience includes 1 year of working in an OCD and anxiety intensive outpatient clinic as a Qualified Mental Health Associate. As well as 7 months working as a Behavioral Crisis Consultant, conducting risk assessments in primary care settings.
Fun Facts/About Me Outside of Work
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my long-term partner and 2 adorable cats. I love cooking, reading, movies, video games, embroidery and taking care of our many houseplants. I am passionate about serving my community and work at a shelter for unhoused families on the weekends. I also enjoy traveling and take any chance I get to to explore the nature of Oregon though hiking and camping.
