At Portland Mental Health & Wellness (PMHW), our LGBTQIA+ IOP is designed for adults who are 18 and older who want structured mental health support in an affirming, identity-aware treatment environment. What Is LGBTQIA+ Intensive Outpatient Care?

LGBTQIA+ IOP is a structured level of mental health care that includes multiple therapy sessions per week and group-based support. It’s designed for adults who need more consistency and connection than weekly therapy provides, while still allowing you to live at home and continue daily responsibilities.

What Makes PMHW’s LGBTQIA+ IOP Different

Our LGBTQIA+ IOP is grounded in relationship-based, person-centered care. Rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum, our clinicians draw from multiple therapeutic approaches and shape sessions around what participants are actually experiencing.

Because PMHW is based in Oregon and offers a full continuum of care, many participants are able to continue working with PMHW providers after completing IOP, supporting continuity rather than disruption in care.

What’s Included in LGBTQIA+ IOP

LGBTQIA+ IOP commonly includes:

Weekly individual therapy with an assigned PMHW therapist
Medication management, when clinically appropriate
Care coordination support to help connect you with ongoing services and resources, particularly as you prepare to complete IOP
