Tay Ciambra, MA
Marriage & Family Therapy Associate
Pronouns: They/Them
Hi there! I’m a Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapist Associate. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy and a certificate in Ecotherapy from Lewis and Clark Graduate School. As I work towards licensure, I am supervised by Cole Prophet, LPC.
I work primarily from an Existential-Humanistic orientation. This means that we’ll look at how your relationships and social context influence who you are, as well as how the universal challenges of being human (death, isolation, meaninglessness, and freedom) impact your ability to live authentically. I also use relationships with nature to promote mental and emotional well-being. This can look like us talking through nature-based metaphors or actively engaging with the outdoors to support emotional regulation and connection. I’m also part of the Affirm Program, which means I am a non-binary clinician committed to providing affirming care to the two-spirit, trans, and non-binary communities through a trauma-informed lens.
We may be a good fit if you are:
- An individual navigating life transitions and seeking to increase meaning, connection, and purpose in your life. As well as someone who appreciates a slower-paced conversation where there’s room to slow down, reflect, and breathe.
- A couple or relationship constellation seeking to understand how past relationships influence current behavior, how to improve your understanding of your emotional process and your partner’s, and if you consider yourself low-conflict and want to communicate more openly and honestly.
- A family seeking to understand the emotional and behavioral patterns that are playing out, are open to redefining family roles and responsibilities, and are interested in fostering more interdependent relationships.
My therapeutic relationships are collaborative, courageous, and challenging. With humor and respect, I will support you as you engage in honest self-reflection, identify possibilities for more authentic living, and make choices that are aligned with who you are.
