Sommer Moselle, MA

Professional Counselor Associate

Pronouns: xe, xyr, xem

Greetings, my name is Sommer Fawn Moselle (xe(shee)/xyr/xem). I am a pre-licensed professional counselor with a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies.

My academic and clinical training are deeply informed by Black and Indigenous liberatory pedagogies, relational neuroscience, and trauma-informed, body-based approaches to healing. I came to the mental health field through a lifelong devotion to collective care, sound healing, and the alchemy of transformation that emerges through creative and embodied relationality.

As an artist, ceremonialist, and sound healer, I view therapy as both science and sacred space—a co-created container where we can explore:

  • Personal, ancestral, and ecological grief

  • Queerness as natural expression

  • Symptomatology as wisdom messages, guiding new pathways toward healing

  • Cultural and nervous system repair

I specialize in working with clients navigating:

  • Complex trauma

  • Intergenerational healing

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Identity expansion through multiple frameworks

  • Empowerment strategies for neurodivergence

  • Reconnecting with authenticity and wholeness in a fragmented world

I believe in the wisdom of the body, the resilience of the human spirit, and the power of a trusting therapeutic alliance to restore connection and compassion.

Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic style is rooted in Somatic Psychotherapy and embedded systems approaches that honor biopsychosocial models of development and Interpersonal Neurobiology.

I integrate:

  • Trauma-informed interoceptive practices

  • Ecopsychological perspectives

  • Decolonial frameworks centering arts-based, ancestral, and ecocentric ways of knowing

In sessions, I may draw from:

  • Polyvagal theory

  • Right-brain-to-right-brain clinical intuition

  • Mindfulness-based tools

  • Interoceptive awareness cultivation

  • Creative narrative reframing

My goal is to help clients access a fuller experience of safety, belonging, vitality, and perspective shifts that are life-affirming and strengths-based.

Whether sitting in silence, attending to breath, or naming the unspeakable, I aim to offer a warm, client-centered, non-pathologizing space where reconnection and transformation can emerge.
