Miles Lewis, MA
Doctoral Psychology Extern
Pronouns: He/Him
Greetings! I’m Miles B. Lewis, a Psychological Trainee at Portland Mental Health & Wellness. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and currently am in my 5th year of the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program at Pacific University. During my training, I have worked in outpatient settings in community mental health, non-profits, and college counseling. I have experience addressing themes such as, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, early adulthood, grief/bereavement, and polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous relationships. I specialize in working with those who hold BIPOC identities and/or within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. I believe that we are all experts of ourselves, each containing within us the power to walk a path congruent with our values. Sometimes we get turned around and need a little outside help to find that path. To that end, my therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed liberation and person-centered ideologies, seen through a psychodynamic relational lens, and applied through a variety of interventions to lead clients to a sense of empowerment within their lives. I was born and raised here in the Portland area, and am fortunate to have a wonderful, supporting constellation of blood and found family here that I love spending time with. I’m also passionate about music, and love to inhabit all sorts of interesting characters through the magic
of Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role playing games. I look forward to connecting with
you.
