I focus on identity formation in my therapeutic practice as a means of guiding us to a deeper sense of connection to ourselves. So much of our existence can be attributed to our history of experiences and the environments we are surrounded by. Each of us are unique in the way that we go through life and make sense of ourselves and others. Therefore, my approach in psychotherapy recognizes how individuals relate in their own special way with an appreciation and integration of their cultural experiences, especially for those of us who diverge from privileged identities.

I personally identify as White Hispanic, and I’m originally from New Mexico. I believe that being bicultural is an identity and experience of its own, with particular nuances to navigate, as I know from my own life. When studying in graduate school at Pacific University, I participated in a Spanish emphasis program where I learned specific cultural considerations and adaptations to clinical therapy with the Latine/Hispanic community. My clinical specialties are in OCD and anxiety presentations, along with depression and trauma-related issues.

I look forward to being able to connect with you and be part of your journey toward a meaningful and fulfilling life!
