Raquel Stewart, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Pronouns: She/Her
I’m Raquel, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. I am bilingual and bicultural, and have a passion for bridging cultural mental health gaps. As a native speaker of both English and Spanish I can conduct sessions in either language (or a mix of both!).
Therapeutic Approach
I aim to provide a safe space for people to navigate life’s challenges, whether that has to do with difficult adjustments, relational dysfunctions, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, or something else that is getting in the way of daily functioning. I believe that each person has the ability to grow and find healing by exploring their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors through the empathy and collaboration of the counseling process.
Credentials & Experience
I have a B.A. degree from the University of California Santa Barbara, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary. My professional experience as a therapist prior to coming to PMHW includes two years in university settings, and two years in outpatient mental health working with people ages 5–65.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, walking, biking, and enjoying all the seasons of the PNW. If I’m not outside, I’m probably working on a craft or a puzzle.
