Hello, mental health professionals!

I want to share some information about our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) at Portland Mental Health & Wellness and the dedicated team behind them.

Our IOPs provide a vital treatment option for those who need more support than weekly outpatient therapy but don’t require inpatient care. At Portland Mental Health & Wellness, we strive to offer intensive mental health treatment with empathy and intentionality, keeping both patient and staff needs in mind.

Our programs are designed for individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health symptoms. We offer a supportive environment that allows patients to continue their daily lives while receiving therapeutic interventions. Our IOPs involve at least 10 hours of weekly support through group and individual therapy, tailored to help patients reach their mental health goals. Patients can choose between our General Adult IOP and our LGBTQIA+ Adult IOP, based on their identities and needs.

Group therapy is a key component of our IOP. It focuses on developing coping mechanisms, fostering interpersonal skills, and building a supportive community. We believe that sharing experiences in a group setting can significantly enhance the therapeutic journey.

Our IOP clinical team is dedicated to providing inclusive and progressive mental health care. We support our staff with ample supervision, training, and opportunities for professional growth. We also prioritize self-care and community-building activities to maintain a healthy work-life balance.  The benefits of these emphases are reflected in the cohesion and retention of our IOP team members.

If you’re interested in referring patients or considering joining our team, please visit our website for more information. We look forward to the possibility of working together towards collective healing and professional fulfillment.
