Psychotherapy with Adults

Practices at Sandy
Pronouns: She/her

I am a post-doctoral resident providing individual and couples therapy and collaborative assessment under the supervision of Adrian Larsen Sanchez. I have practiced in rural and urban settings, private practices, community agencies, and hospitals and worked with individuals and couples with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. After completing a master’s degree in Infant Mental Health at Mills College, I received my PsyD from the University of Indianapolis in 2022. In my internship I specialized in Perinatal Mental Health at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

I understand the therapeutic task as creating the space in which people can listen to and learn about themselves in relationship through a stance of compassionate curiosity. Together, we can think about and question cultural, social, environmental, and individual shaping forces, assumptions, and reactions and make room for that which does not yet have language.

I’ve walked with patients through the varieties and experience of trauma and its aftermath and know that healing and integration are possible. I have faith in the process even as I appreciate its difficulties. I am honored and humbled to do the work that I do and learn every day from my patients.

I have a specialty interest in working with individuals in the perinatal phase. Becoming a parent, no matter the path, is a unique and critically important time in one’s life. It can be a time of potential suffering AND great growth and I value the opportunity to accompany my patients on their journey.

I am informed and enriched by psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theories and attachment theory and inspired by the work of collaborative assessment.
