Sean Eubanks, PsyD

Post Doctoral Psychologist Resident

Pronouns: He/Him/His

My name is Sean Eubanks. I am a postdoc psychology resident at Portland Mental Health & Wellness and am under the supervision of Mark Reck, PsyD. I work with adults who are seeking support to live their lives in a way that feels aligned with who they would like to be. My areas of interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, racial/ethnic/cultural identity, interpersonal difficulties, and grief.

I take a holistic approach to therapy recognizing the individual, cultural, social, and environmental factors that shape a person into who they are. I value these diverse experiences and hope to collaboratively create a space that invites you to comfortably speak about any topic that resonates with you. Throughout this process we will work together to guide you towards the life you would like to live, while acknowledging we both have areas of expertise to contribute towards our journey. Together, we will explore who you are and the impacts of the past in order to assist you in forming the future you would like to create.

When I am not in the office or working, I enjoy being outside (biking, hiking, fishing, etc). I also love playing video games, exercising, playing with animals, and cooking/baking/eating different kinds of foods.

Education & Training

I completed my doctoral internship in Kansas City, MO at University Health. While here I worked in both inpatient and outpatient services with individuals ranging from ages 10-70. My training included providing diagnostic clarification, individual & group therapy, consultation, and supervision.

I anticipate receiving my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University in August 2023. Prior to attending Pacific University, I obtained a master’s degree in counseling from Avila University in 2017. My pre-doctoral training included providing therapy and psychological assessment in community mental health clinics, private practice, and inpatient hospitals. Additionally, I also have experience providing disability assessments for veterans.
