Nikolai Guimaoutdinov, PsyD

Post Doctoral Psychologist Resident

Pronouns: They/Them/Theirs

Добрый день! My name is Nikolai Guimaoutdinov and I am an anticipated post-doctoral psychology resident at Portland Mental Health and Wellness and will be under the supervision of Len Kaufman, Ph.D.

I anticipate receiving my doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University in August 2022. My pre-doctoral training included providing therapy at college counseling centers, job training centers, and community mental health clinics. I additionally have experience conducting medical readiness evaluations for transgender youth and their families.

I seek to help my clients create change in their lives by blending a relationship-focused approach with elements of skills-based therapies. As someone who holds several marginalized identities, I value diverse experiences and strive to practice cultural humility. I hope to co-create a safe, accepting space with my clients in which we are free to explore any topic.

My professional interests include trauma, identity development, sexuality, sexual health, gender identity, racial/ethnic/cultural identity, eating issues/concerns, and personality disorders.

Out of the office, I enjoy playing board/video games, spending time with animals/loved ones, trying new food, and crochet.
