Clinical Director

Job Summary:

The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing and supporting up to 6 FTE psychotherapy practitioners including clinical consultation and direction when needed, supporting compliance, clinical best practices, and generally being a go-to-resource for practitioners on site. This position must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the practice and its overall success. Must have the ability to think globally, solve problems, and have good decision-making skills. The Clinical Director will maintain at least 207 clinical contact hours quarterly in the role of Therapist in combination with the role of Clinical Director to maintain full-time employment status.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in 1 hour bi-weekly management team meetings focused on DEI
  • Meet weekly with the PMHW Practice Director for at least 30 minutes.  
  • Participate in development and implementation of antiracist policies, practices, and procedures
  • Monitor and respond to management tasks in a shared virtual workspace including the development and implementation of new policies and procedures)
  • Provide feedback for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices as asked for by the PMHW Practice Director.
  • Review application materials by psychotherapy applicants and provide feedback to the PMHW Practice Director.
  • Participate in second-round interviews for select candidates for clinical positions. 
  • Review and follow up with critical incident reports for practitioners on your team
  • Conduct and document quarterly reviews with practitioners.
  • Assist the PMHW Practice Director and Practice Manager with the agenda and leading of the monthly all-staff meeting.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the annual all staff retreat.
  • Provide 1 all-day orientation and training to new staff as needed 
  • Convey feedback from practitioners to provide to management.
  • With support of admin support staff, conduct one chart audit per therapist per month to ensure compliance with PMHW policies & procedures.
  • Provide additional support and sign off on clinical documentation of newly employed licensed practitioners until they are able to independently comply with PMHW policies & procedures.
  • Provide additional support for practitioners leaving PMHW – monitor termination letters and patient transfers to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of patient care.

While initially building their caseload, a practitioner is expected to undertake 2 new patient intakes per workday, or up to 8 intakes per workweek.
