About Me
I’m Regina Rye, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with over 16 years of experience in the mental and behavioral health field. I hold a Master of Science degree in Studies in Human Behavior and a Master of Science in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. My journey into mental health began during my early career in social services as a Juvenile Probation Officer. With a background in Criminal Justice, I quickly developed a passion for helping individuals overcome personal and emotional challenges, which led to my transition into counseling.
I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is safe, nonjudgmental, and empowering. I believe in the importance of fostering open conversations about mental wellness and reducing the stigma that often surrounds seeking help.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative, ensuring that each person feels heard, respected, and in control of their healing journey. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to your unique needs. These include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns.
- Gestalt Therapy: To enhance self-awareness and emotional processing in the present moment.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To support psychological flexibility and value-driven action.
- Person-Centered Therapy: To offer a compassionate space that encourages self-discovery and growth.
My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, building resilience and confidence along the way.
