Psychotherapy with Adults
I am extern at Portland Mental Health & Wellness working under the supervision of Shelby Reep and Len Kaufman, PhD. I received a Masters of Science degree in Developmental Psychology at Liberty University and am currently completing my doctorate in clinical psychology at George Fox University.
In my work, I find it important to tailor my approach for each individual client and utilize a bio-psycho-social-lifespan perspective, as we are all unique with different stories that have shaped our paths along the way. I believe that all people have the ability to thrive and live a fulfilling life, in that I strive to help my clients feel seen and provide my clients with the tools, education, and confidence to cope with life stressors. My style is honest, gentle, and compassionate, and I aim to create a warm, safe, and accepting environment during sessions.
I have experience working in school-based settings and with early and middle-aged adults. I am passionate about reaching minority clients, veterans, military families, and athletes. My special interest includes, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, and trauma and PTSD.
