Individual, Couple, and Group Psychotherapy
Practices at Sandy
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I received my education from Pacific University’s School of Professional Psychology. My patients are adolescents and adults, many of whom struggle with mood instability, difficult transitions, and interpersonal challenges. I feel privileged to have served the Portland community in this capacity since 2009.
Empowering people to become their best self is my life’s work. I strive to help patients live in a way that inspires deeper fulfillment and balance by supporting their natural ability to cope with stress and emotional pain. My therapeutic style incorporates warmth, humor, honest feedback, and values such as respect and sex-positivity. I prioritize creating a space for patients to safely experiment with new ways of being, which allows for a more powerful connection to the things that enrich their lives.
I also focus on bringing awareness to patients’ current emotional and physiological experiences, which allows for more authenticity. I promote growth in these areas primarily utilizing Gestalt therapy, which involves building awareness of present experiences, patterns, and ways of relating to others.
